There are many great philosophers, teachers, helpers and authors to whom I owe a great debt of gratitude. Without their thoughts and insights I would not have been able to produce this work or re-publish my Grandfather's book. Many people have coached and mentored me in my own journey. I am grateful to them all.

I would like to thank....

My father Edward Vernon Clarke, Allen Clarke's youngest son my father for inspiring me from being little...My mother Gwendoline who became Allen's companion when Allen's wife (The Beloved) Eliza died. She even attended many newspaper journalist conventions in stately homes and she so wanted his stories to be read by every generation, not only the stories but for other generations to get to know the man himself....

S.P.A.B. (mills section)  and NWMG as both societies promote the book 'Windmill Land' and the other book it's companion, 'More Windmill Land.'

Steve Becker of BBC Radio Lancashire, Josie Hill of Lancashire Evening Post, Craig Fleming, Elizabeth Gomm, and Jackie Morley of the Blackpool Gazette Newspaper. Local historian Terry Regan for his initial support to me personally.

Historian Alan Stott M.A. for the material on (Great Marton Windmill) he allowed me to use and his knowledge on Marton and its history. Historian Melanie Slaidbourne his daughter.

Blackpool & Fylde College for the writing skills a B.A. degree provides... the University of Central Lancashire.... Lancaster University...Dr Paul Salveson M.B.E. , Professor John Walton, The Friends Of Little Marton Windmill for all their hard work in allowing the public to view the inside of Allen Clarke's Memorial  Windmill.

Retired tutor of Blackpool & Fylde College, Mrs Sue Clarke (not a relative) but a very inspirational tutor.

Highfield Humanities College for their historical input regarding Little Marton Windmill.

Son in law, Lee Taylor and Martin Ayrton, Allen Clarke's great grandson who have both been at my side and are true windmillian's.
